A long time ago I bought this plastic chimney pot and have grown various "assembles" in it through the years. Trailing begonias, petunias etc. and it can look quite lovely by Sugust..
BUT, there's no getting away from it (Folly Mon would cringe if he saw it), it's plastic and it looks like it is!!
Please, is there anything I can do to "age " it a bit? I know yoghourt works on terracotta and stone but I don't think it will on plastic. plastic chimney pot 004 (768x1024).jpg plastic chimney pot 005 (768x1024).jpg

Thank you everyone for your helpful comments. I think I will try the terracotta spray and then try and green it up a bit with yogurt.
I will let you know what it looks like after,
      Jenny

So I sprayed it with terracotta paint,
painted it with water and yoghurt mix (didn't makke any difference)
and today, brushed BBQ charcoal powder into various bits. At least the shiny plastic's gone. Chimney pot and bits 22 July 2012 001.JPG

I think so - within reason. It feels sandy and rough and I can't rub any of it off ATM. Let's see what a season or two will do,
