No blueberries :(

    This is the second year I have had a small blueberry bush and also the second year I have had lots of flowers but then nothing - no fruit ! Has anyone any ideas why ?? I have lots of fruit on both the raspberry bushes and the strawberries - no probs there ....

    It could still be too young. I bought my blueberry bush as a two year old potted plant. Later that year it flowered plenty, but it only produced about 10 berries on the whole plant. They year after it did much better but still not amazing. It'll be interesting to see what it does this year.

    I've also heard that you only get fruit on a 2 yr old plant. At the moment I have a few clumps showing signs of fruiting (small green balls)

    Bare with them and you shall be rewarded.

    Going slightly off topic but still on blueberry bushes.
    Does anyone have an effective netting/covering to protect the bushes from birds?
    I bought netting last year, but the birds seem to get through it.
