Hi Woo,I have just had a thought.Have you checked all the wires that go into the back of the computer to make sure that none of them have got loose.?

May I ask what make of PC you are using as that might help peeps who might be able to help you.I always have my volume down unless I am listening to music and then use small ear plugs with attached wires.Sorry I can't be of more help but hope you get it sorted soon:rolleyes::)

Hi Woo, know this might sound (ha, ha) really stupid but have you tried putting the settings back to 'default'? I know most of the things I get wrong to do with pc are usually so simple but I just can't see it myself. Anyway, will try to copy this bit of info, if no good let us know & I'll keep looking....

    1. Open [IMG]Sounds and Audio Devices in Control Panel.
    2. On the Volume tab, under Speaker settings, click Speaker Volume.
    3. Move the slider controls to the right or left to increase or decrease the volume for each available speaker.
    4. To move each slider control at the same time while saving their relative positions, select the Move all slide indicators at the same time check box.
    5. To return the speaker volume to the default positions, click Restore Defaults.
It's really only the last bit, no. 5, I was thinking of. Maybe really silly of me but I find sometimes going back sorts things out - could be just me though!!

    cheers

Been looking at the 'help' section, as you have probably, but can't find anything to help, sorry Woo. Hopefully some clever peeps will come on here soon & sort you out. Let us know what is was when you get it sorted. btw, you don't have a insurance type thing for Windows do you, cos you can phone up - I know, they don't help half the time & keep you on the phone at an exhorbitant rate! Anyway, hope you get sorted soon mate.

    cheers

    Hi Woo.

If your speakers are integrated with the monitor then you'll have a cable (possibly 2) between the monitor and the back of the PC. Is that there. Also, if you do ...

Right click on My Computer and Select Properties.
    Click on the Hardware tab.
Click on the Device Manager button.
Click on the + symbol next to Sound, video and game controllers.

Do any of the little speaker symbols have a little yellow triangle with a ! in it?

Do you know if it's a dedicated sound card or if it's an integrated with the computers motherboard?

Finally, when did it stop working?

    Ant.
