He was a character Doghouse, it was safest to queue behind him, remember how he 'marked' Eusebio in 66? Shame they didn't get paid much in those days. It's gone to the other extreme now. Anyway, I hope Nobby gets a decent amount of money for his medals to help him buy a few more fish and chips.

Hi Doghouse .the players of yesteryear did not make a fortune like some of the Prima Donna's nowadays.
some of them earn Millions and live the life's of Pop Stars. they earn millions in sponsorship alone.
I have to laugh at some of the football commentator's " the players look tired after playing 2 games close
together". they are not tired with playing football, its what they have been doing between games:wink:. music .

You can't blame the players, it's only a very few at the top of the game that get over paid, the vast majority in the lower leagues are on average wages or less. Those at the very top are paid the same as other big spectator sports like golf and F1, and I certainly would not turn down an over inflated wage if someone is stupid enough to offer it to me. Where does the money come from to pay them these silly wages? Blame the people watching them on their expensive TV sports channels or extortionate season tickets.
