    Help, anyone?
I planted two lovely Wiegela shrubs lat year, and the did very well. This Spring, however, there was very warm weather followed by a very late, severe frost. One shrub was completely killed, the other severely damaged. I cut it back to about 6" (to get rid of the damaged canes) asnd it has since grown very welkl...BUT...no flowers or buds. Can I expect bloomin next year? Or is the bush a goner?
If so, I need to replace it this Fall.
    Thanks, anyone.

Both should be fine and should flower next year. Weigelia is hardy and as it was planted last year, will have got settled in. Whilst the new leaves will have been killed off by the late frost - there was no need to cut it back as it would have reshot from the bare stems but with some tip die back.

Give it a feed every couple of weeks to help them during the summer and autumn.
