    Help, anyone?
I planted two lovely Wiegela shrubs lat year, and the did very well. This Spring, however, there was very warm weather followed by a very late, severe frost. One shrub was completely killed, the other severely damaged. I cut it back to about 6" (to get rid of the damaged canes) asnd it has since grown very welkl...BUT...no flowers or buds. Can I expect bloomin next year? Or is the bush a goner?
If so, I need to replace it this Fall.
    Thanks, anyone.

Hi olderthandirt and welcome. Am I right in surmising that Clark County IN is in Indiana USA? If so, welcome to another American member.

If the Wiegela was cut down in spring then it won't flower this year as it flowers on the previous year's growth. If you let it grow on this year it should bloom next year, from then on only prune straight after flowering if needed.
    Good luck [IMG]
