Not much to see at this time of year as it is so hot and dry but a few things were seen at and from the hotel.

Just Pigeons, Sparrows and Doves around the Hotel but looking out from the dining terrace out at sea there was a huge flock of something a long, long way out and very high. It turned out to be 80 or so Glossy Ibis but for some strange reason there was 1 Greater Flamingo with them!

Glossy Ibis, like Starlings they have a glossy sheen but only in the sun, otherwise they just look brown. (A poor grab from vidoeo)

I have seen dozen Herons but never 30.

One Squacco Heron came fairly close.

    Hooded Crows everywhere.

    Striped Hawkmoth.

    Starred Agama.

Turkish Geckos, some were pale forms.

    Snake Eyed Lizard.

We found a young Mediterranean Chameleon wandering near the pool which, after a couple of pics, we put back up in a nearby Jasmine .

A Praying Mantis flew on to our towels on the balcony one night while we were sitting(melting) there, I probably blinded the poor thing with the flash!!

The next day I found a tiny baby about an inch long hiding in a Bougainvillea, couldn't hide from me!

Hornets were drinking by the pools every few minutes, never bothered us at all.

Only a brief visit of a Swallowtail on the Lantana the other side of the pool.

Finally, a Little Owl landed on the Opuntia opposite the balcony just as it was getting dark, so a very poor pic, mainly because I forgot I still had the Polariser lens on!:wallbanging:

Great captures (again); really love the second one of the mantis looking shocked and right at you!

It was strange @Beckie76 that I only saw it on the first day although I saw the Ibis every day several times
