    Sorry not been around for a bit has we recently got burglared, problem was he broke in when I was home. And I ended up arrested, when the police arrived I had him in a stranglehold on the drive face down on the gravel.
    I'm afraid the adrenaline kick in.
    The thieving s_d threatened the press charges.
    He didn't get anything.
    Ive never been in trouble all I was doing was protecting my wife and property.

        It took 3 police men to get me off him.
        When my wife phoned 999 I already had him on the floor, they said they would be round asap, it was only when my wife said my husband's a ex para and hes caught him, they were at our house in no time at all.
        I don't blame the police I just wish I could of given him a good kicking.

              Glad to hear you're back and okay, although it takes time for the outrage of being burgled to recede. The Burglar dropped into the wrong zone, I guess, and met an ex-Para who in essence is still a Para:love30::coffee:

                            You should have been praised by the Police, not arrested. I believe you can protect yourself/property using reasonable force, which you did.

                              Sounds like reasonable force to me: you were restraining him until Police arrived - what else were you to do? Offer him a cuppa and a biscuit until the Police arrived and hope that he was too polite to refuse. Sheesh! :doh:

                              Relieved you and your family are safe: being burgled is unsettling enough without the added stress of being arrested and wondering if your uninvited visitor is going to try and pull a fast one on you :grphg:
