The one I took a pic of yesterday, sitting on his bum. He'd brought his mate too but I didn't get a pic of him.

Good job I didn't slaughter the local deer population then.

Now that explains why your fence was pushed over.. I thought that was a bit strange for deer.. Well well.. He had better watch out or his days might be numbered.. Make pretty good rugs.. :roflol:

            He's called Fat Ram:biggrin:

Didn't get on the plot, the string kept him out.

I think he suits the name Fat Ram although he might be renamed if he gets past the string. Zigs just wave some mint sauce at him. That will sort him out!

Love it! Glad it wasn't a deer for your sake. I was a little surprised that deer were the no 1 suspect as my dear deer have eventually stopped their nightly pilgrimage to my garden as new grass etc is eventually available elsewhere. Bit like you tho with sheep problems we are well into new lamb season and the little sh..s will no doubt be figuring out ways of escaping from their fields to visit MY garden. Being the only garden of any size arround these parts I'm convinced that sheep have their own Egon Roney guides which informs them where my garden is!

I'm fairly sure there is some quirky law that means if livestock strays onto your land, although contrary to popular belief, you don't actually own it by default, you do have the right to detain it until the owner pays some fee or something. Can't remember the exact details. Its quite quirky, probably a relic from bygone times but apparently still applicable.

Maybe you can charge the farmer for it being there, or at least let him believe you're going to do so so that maybe he'll try to work out how its getting out and close up any gaps in his fences.

Am I the only one who finds sheep more baffling than deer? Why are there sheep wandering round your town?? Do you live on Dartmoor or something Zigs?
