I've had this video for 3½ years and finally managed to upload it, convert it to mpeg and make short clips of it. Well, one clip thus far. The entire video if 44 minutes long with about 6 or 7 songs that I want to make into individual clips.

This first bit is short as it's just the intro of the song "This City, These Streets". It was done at Durham Cathedral which is the oldest and biggest cathedral in the UK and where the Venerable Bede is entombed. So this is where I did the flags - impressive, eh?

Enjoy! I will post the others as I manage to get them done (hope you all don't mind me doing this!)

Oh one thing - as this was the first time I'd used a camcorder, I never thought to have the cd right next to the camera, as a result please TURN UP YOUR VOLUME!

Yes, impressive indeed. You must be a pretty strong gal to manage those flags so easily. As Marley says the audio was a bit on the quiet side, but for a first attempt it worked very well.

From a very personal point of view I'm not that smitten by the musical interpretation of what I assume was Isaiah - 40.

Anyway I'm looking forward to your next audio-visual praise.

Thanks all - one learns about suitable juxtaposition of cd player and camcorder by hard experience! :heehee:

Just reminded me of visiting the local church on the way back from having a few ciders at lunchtime.

My little one was exploring in and around the pews while I had a look in the pulpit.

The book was open at Revelations, one of my favorite books.

I started reading it, not realising I was reading outloud till a chap came in & sat in the pews, I paused for a second, but he was looking at me expectantly so I just carried on thru the entire Apocalipse, got to the end of the chapter, closed the book, smiled & walked off.

Very graceful D. And what better place to do it. Durham cathedral is magnificent. I've been to one or two, including York minster and Caterbury cathedral. All impressive, but Durham wins for me. Canterbury is comparable once you're inside, but Durham, as you approach by road, for best part of half an hour, you're driving towards the imposing sight. No matter what the weather is like, is seems to me that Durham cathedral always looks a tiny bit menacing.
