    Had some odd stuff come up in seeds which I bought from a small seed seller, been onto him and he really doesn't know what they are.
    Just for fun:hapydancsmil::hapfeet:

    Thought you all might like to have a stab.

    the packet I bought said Musanga cecropioides.
    Maybe this is the juvenile foliage, I dont know, I assume its possible.

    This is the plants I have.
    New leaves develop in a sheath and then break out, DSC01954.JPG brown in colour.

        Leaves slightly like a large tropical tree Cecropia peltata.
        But I do not know what the young tree leaves look like. CECROPIA PELTALTA 04-Jan-18 12-47-50 PM.JPG CECROPIA PELTALTA 06-Jan-18 2-14-15 PM.JPG

          I think Cecropia could be similar, as I think its also a plant that springs up quickly on cleared ground in the tropics.

              Thank you.
              I hate wrongly named pics!
              You are correct..pics taken in Madeira.
              Have amended my labels to Farfugium japonicum giganteum.
              Below are
              1- 2.Farfugium japonicum argenteum.
              3 -6. Farfugium japonicum aureomaculatum.
              Sadly don't seem to have any pics of Farfugium japonicum. Leaves are fairly thick, although not to the point of being succulent, and slightly hairy.

                      The flower is suggesting some kind of Sinningia, but it doesn't seem to have a tuber forming.
