Not had any rain for days in the north west. None forcast any time soon either.
Mowed lawn on Tuesday and it now looks a bit dried out.
Have you watered your garden ?

We've had no rain in weeks here!
Not possible to pull weeds as the ground is rock hard and plants are wilting, so I have been watering the garden for about a month.
My 3 waterbutts are almost empty.
My rhubarb was looking very limp yesterday so I drenched it and looking better today. Currently using a sprinkler to water my soft fruits.
Not even any cloud in the forecast for the next 10 days..
Never known it so dry so early in the season.

I don't water the garden, anything established has to get on with it.

It's reminding me of lockdown spring, 2020, we had a very sunny spring that year up until June.

I've been watering pots and tubs, I don't usually have to do any watering at this time of year but it's been very dry for weeks here. In fact the whole winter has been dry here.

I've been watering anything newly planted, plus the tubs.
I've found that just below the surface the soil is slightly damp, but there's no rain forecast for at least another week here.

No rain here for weeks either. The stuff in the ground, even recently moved things, seem fine but some pots are flagging. I hope we aren't in for another dry summer, we went nearly 6 months without a drop a few years back.

Same here. I try to only water containers and newly-planted things, but it's difficult to watch plants struggling to get growing properly in the spring when there's no rain, and spring flowers that are fleeting even in a good wet year fading in no time at all. Summer drought is easier somehow.

No rain in East Yorkshire for weeks either. Water butt is empty and I'm having to use the hose! A bit concerned that some newer plants may struggle to establish.

It's lovely weather though. As @pete says, reminds me of lockdown spring.

I had to top up the water feature, the pitcher plants in there were high and dry. It's unusual for me to do that this time of year. My water butts are still full, I'm just watering a few newly planted flowers and veggies in containers.

It's been a record-breaking March for dryness and April looks set to continue. We had some light rain yesterday and a bit more overnight. I put out lots of containers to try and catch it but it was only a few mm. No more in the immediate forecast now.

We had about 10 mm in March and had 13 mm yesterday evening.
However it is now set fine at least to Easter.

Good to keep ground cover for what little moisture is left in the soil! But I am still watering with a bucket for the small stuff. Pots dry so quickly especially the bare ceramic ones

What we would do if it never rained again?

We experienced a 15 minute heavy down pour with hail mixed in last Saturday, the temperature in the main greenhouse dropped 10c in the matter of minutes due to the cold wind that accompanied the down pour.

The Met office said, England experienced the sunniest March since records began in 1910. Some counties in England and Wales, the rainfall for March was in the top three driest March since 1836. Haweswater and Thirlmere water levels are down 23% compared to the same period last year.

I have to water my pots, seen my tulips begin to wilt, these are south facing pots. Also give my rhododendron a good drink before they’re due to flower, also do my pansies/violas in hanging baskets.

I've watered mine, though I normally wouldn'tdream of it this time of year.

Our last significant rainfall was 26th Feb. Since that date we've had a grand total of 5mm here in 5 weeks, and zero in the forecast for next week.
