    Can anyone help

This is the first time I have done potatoes and I am trying to be patient but I just need to know I am doing the right thing. I see adverts for putting potatoes in bags/pots and growing them or this chitting method which I am trying. They are in my greenhouse in seed trays and have been for about three weeks and hardly done anything! I understand it will not be til about easter they will have roots on and ready to plant in the ground. Am I doing this right?

greenhouse could be a little cold, (mine is anyway a bit drafty) I chit my spuds on a windowsill in a cold room, dont panic though your greenhouse may be ok. Chitting normally takes 6 weeks and your not looking for roots but hard nobbly shoots.

It's too cold in a greenhouse, it was minus 5 last night with us, if I had left my chitting spuds in there the frost would have killed them. Keep them inside the house like theplantman says.
