Hi what has happened to this house plant?
I have had it for awhile it was up a corner in the living room it seemed ok till I repotted it now I noticed last week some leaves have gone yellow and the brown tips I cut off
I put it now in the veranda maybe it needs more light after all but not sure?
I not sure what to do it seems it has a root on it but even that as some brown on it will it recover?

What is it? If it was ok where it was i would have left it there. The brown roots is probably a sign that it's been over watered and not enough drainage.

Thanks put it back in the corner I leave it there.
when I repotted it there were no brown roots only white and the reason I repotted it was it looked to big for the little pot it was in I am not sure what it is but I have another plant the same and it's growing well up the corner I did repot that at the same time but t it's gone bigger not yellow a mystery but I just leave it up the corner and see in few weeks what happens

          Possibly a variegated yucca.
They dont like being overwatered and need good light.

I think it's a Dracaena, I have the similar variant with leaves edged with white instead of the common yellow.

Are you sure it's the same plant? The leaves look very different to the variegated ones in the photos.

If the roots are ok and the plant is sort of forming a trunk, you could try cutting it all back. Dracaena and the other suspect Yucca both sprout from nods on the trunks.

Botha also like good light and drainage.

Such a sudden decline means that something happened. Are you sure that the compost was ok and nobody accidentally watered the plant with something unsuitable? I have killed a plant by watering with soapy water intended for filling spray bottles for aphid wars and my husband once emptied leftover tea into a pot- boiling hot!

Hi looks like variegated yucca or Dracaena
When I bought them they both said ever green from the same plant but didn't say what but I must say selleri they don't look much the same maybe they meant the same family cause one slightly darker but the sick one has a root forming and I closely can see a tiny leaf seems to be growing I keep it up the corner and see what happens also maybe there was something in the batch of compost I used although I used the rest of that compost to repot other plants thanks and thanks to everyone who replied
