I was just talking to a couple who stayed with friends here in france last year and while they we're here we got talking about gardening,

Now this couple then we're just married waiting to move into their own home (with a garden) and wanted to ask me all sorts of questions about how do you do this and how do you do that etc etc,

and so after they'd asked such questions they asked if i minded if they walked around the garden,

After a while they joined us in a much needed cold drink and said they saw a lettuce growing in one of the flower beds,!

I pointed out the plant the girl thought was lovely was infact beetroot,
and that there was sweetcorn, that tomatoe's, and this "what the girl thought was a hanging basket was infact an old kitchen culendor filled with compost and the little red balls we're tomatoes "again'

The point im trying to make is, the garden soil can be filled with flowers but also mixed in with fruits and veg and still both look good and reward the gardener with salad crops without looking out of place.

That is what I want to do rather than have them in separate sections.
