I"ve just realised that email address I had for GC notifications (of Conversations) is one I haven't used in absolutely yonks, but have just installed an app that will download/notify me of new mails.

As a check, would somebody please start a Conversation so I can determine whether my email alerts are working?

EDIT Thanks to those started test conversations, I did not receive any email alerts.

How do you set up notifications to send an email confirmation that you have successfully posted?

I can't recall/find anything to set up that one, only to get sent emails advising of replies to a post, posts on a watched thread, or for conversations.

I've just logged out and back in again, don't know if that will work.

Although I'm not very well up on these sort of things I always thought that there was no mechanism to receive notification/alert of your own post. :noidea:

2 New 'test' Conversations started by others, and I didn't receive any emails. Appears as if this could be affecting everbody.

Is anybody receiving GC generated emails?

Isn't that only for replies, not one's own original post, or does it do something additional that 's not mentioned there?

I have opted not to receive Email notifications . But like Nigel and Sandy I sometimes do not get reply notifications to posts I have replied to . Approx 25% (?) of no notifications.

Thanks but it was already done. The signing out and in didn't work.

I used to get a email when somebody's posted after me.

I'm having a similar issue, both with alerts and email notifications. However, mine is intermittent.
Also, some emails are sorted to spam whilst others are not :dunno:

You need to keep checking your spam system now :dunno: because if you blocked them with out knowing that would stop them all together :)

I keep marking them as not spam but Gmail dislikes something about some of them but not all of them!
