Sorry for the delay in starting this thread. I have had my hands tied and not been able to get to a pc till now.

Please place your votes for pics entered into the November photo competition, awarding a 1st, 2nd and 3rd position, and a short explanation for your choice.

    Many thanks

    Nathan.

1st, Frogesque, belt of venus, never seen anything like that, wish I could have seen it.
2nd, Maley Farley's third pic. first snowfall.
3rd, Suedobie, dog in the frost.

There were some really good sunsets, but I couldn't deciede between them. Also that last one of Frogesque's, of the tree in a blizzard, pity it wasn't in the comp.

Oh my this month was so difficult but for me

    1. Frogescue - sunset rainbow, the colour on the hill and the colours behind a darkening foreground - magic

    2. Pete's - frost mist and sun - the combination was lovely

    3. Marley Farley's - snow scene, a lovely shot, perfectly set.

but oh my the others too, Charley's storm, and frogescues belt of venus, the sun set pictures. This month was the greatest yet.

    Glorious pictures of the weather.
    1. Pete's mist and frost The rays coming through the mist are magical. Loved it.
    2. Frogesque's sunset rainbow. Stunning colours and beautiful scenery.
    3. Zeb's spider's web. Poor spider looked frozen.

I agree, there were some fabulous pictures this month. It's getting harder to choose the best three. But here goes.

    1. Marley Farley's 3rd - Beautiful Snow scene.
    2. Pete's Frost, Mist & Sunshine - I like days like those.
    3. Jordie's Red Sku at Nighe - Lovely colours.

1st. Pete2255: Frost mist and sunshine. Great composition, has all you could wish for in a frosty winter scene.

2nd. Marley Farley No.3 Snowscene of valley. Nicely framed by the trees in the foreground with some whispy smoke rising from the valley adds interest to the distance.

3rd. SteveW: Ilfracombe. Not all the weather has been bad and this is a lovely, peacefull, evening seascape.

Really hard choice this time: Fran's sunset, Sue Dobie's Dog, Pete2255's frosted yarrow all deserve mention so get cracking and get snapping; great prizes up for grabs next time so let's make December's comp even better!

[IMG] Well here are my votes for this month. Well done every one, the standard was very high this time. I have had a hard time choosing could have voted for everybody. Anyway here goes.

1st. Frogesque- Sunset rainbow on Bishops Hill, I think it is very mystical, makes you wonder if there is a pot of gold..... ;)

2nd. Charlie - Stormy night. Really makes you feel that someone up there is angry... Very atmospheric. ;)

3rd. Pete 2255 - Ice crystals No2. The crystals are so big & pristinely perfect. [IMG]

A very hard choice this month, can't wait to see what next month will bring, a wickedly broad subject. Come on everyone have a go.....! :D

This month really was of a high standard - well done everyone
1st Marley - Snow scene - very atmospheric and beautifully composed - captures the competition theme absolutely
2nd - Zeb - close up spiders web - a toss up between it and his second shot - beautifully in focus and a lovely chance photograph
3rd - Frogesques - Belt of Venus - I know how hard it is to get the colours in a shot like this to come out in the photo. A lovely and unusual photograph
