Afternoon! I am new to all this, usually anage to kill everything I touch, but we currently have some nice established plants in the garden followign the in-laws efforts, and I'm trying to learn how to prune, care for and expand the plants. I do have a major handicapp - I have a phobia about worms, so find it extremely difficult to be hands on with anything that involves soil contact, although I do try. Thankfully, I have a very handy DH who is happy to be directed!

I am currently trying to find out how to control a Mrs Popple fuchsia (at least I think that's what it is) and some over-running lupins.

Here's to the start of a beautiful garden, hopefully!

    Lovely to meet you!

    Heather

Hi Heather, welcome to Gardeners Corner:thumbsup: Don't worry about phobias, gardening seems to ease the mind, relax you and suddenly you find yourself doing things you thought impossible for a long time:yess::yay::yay::yahoo:

Hi Heather. Welcome to the site. Sorry but had to laugh when read about your worm phobia :heehee: I am allergic to most gardens only have to stand outside for a few minutes and I have to start popping anti histimines to stop me itching my skin off. Does not stop me though

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome :)

Spent a bit of time in the garden this weekend, my son helped harvest some potatoes and I took some photos of my fuchsia - heading over to that board to try and find out how to protect it over the winter.

      :sunny:
