    Greetings all,

My job takes me to the metropolis of Milton Keynes tomorrow - but I may get an hour or two to kill during the day. Does anyone have any recomendations of nurseries/GCs in the nearby area (ideally quite close to the centre for time purposes).

    All suggestions gratefully recieved! :D

    Dave

    Hi Dave,
the only one I can think of is Buckingham Nurseries, at Tingewick, about 15 or so minutes from MK.
I used to use them a lot when running a garden near there..
Hope you have a nice day

try this, Dave - it includes the one Rossco mentioned. HAve a look at a map, though, Bucks is a funny shape! (At least, I thought so when I lived in the corner of Herts, when I was constantly in and out of Beds and Bucks!

Hi guys - thanks for the suggestions and links! I hope it's a bit drier down there than it has been here today. Digging out some areas for my new fencing in the wet and dark this evening, not my idea of fun!! ;)

Dave I live just outside Milton Keynes, and an excellent garden centre in this area is Frosts. Just outside Woburn Sands - close to Wavendon. About 6 miles from the centre of MK

have been to "The Stables" many a time - excellent place, Wavendon! Must try Frosts next time I'm down to visit gardening son in Hemel.

Its only a smallish independant nursery - but I find it very good - plants are of excellent quality.

    Hi all,

The last set came in a bit late for my visit! I did make it to Buckingham Nurseries and realsied that this was somewhere I currently have a mail order with ! D'Oh! Could have saved myself the postage! ;)

Ah well, got a gorgeous rhododedron (deep green and bright yellow foliage, purple flowers!) so it was worth the trip :D
