My first place goes to dalbuie for Harvest time

An eye-watering red hot photo of your own produce shows what can be done with dedication and a few seeds.

    2nd. pete2255 Untitled - sunbeams in a country lane.

Very atmospheric and the dog in the foreground adds 'human' interest.

    3rd. Nik Cumber Park

Delightfull shot of trees, water and reflections showing the beauty of the countryside in autumn.

    Petes misty morning 1st
just looks a typical autumn morn, any closer or further back and the framing effect of the foreground bushes would have been lost

    Nathans Pheasant 2nd
the leaves on the ground add an autumn touch to a good wildlife pic

    Petals church 3rd
captured all the colours that are around at this time of the year

Oh this was so difficult - the pictures just get better and better. But hanging grimly to the theme for this month:

    1. Pete's Misty morning - clarity of the foreground and the misty colour of the background was just magic

    2. Dalbuie's October sky, I just loved the cloud effect with the setting sun

    3. Frogescue's geese on a pastel sunset. That was so right for this time of year.

But it was tough, Marley Farley's scarlet virginnia creeper, Nathan's pheasant, Petals leaf, and Coralbat's dark trees with that splash of colour in the background. Hard very hard to choose this month

    2. MF: Virginia Creeper(2) Such a lovely deep red.
    3. Fran: lst Pic. Cones look great against the blue sky.

But as always I they were all great and therefore hard to choose between them.

Another difficult choice, all the pictures are indicative of autumn and it was good to see everyone's interpretation of the theme. Here's my three.
1st Dalbouie's Peppers - they are so colourful, shiny and utterly edible. An appealing, bountiful harvest which, to me, sums up autumn.
2nd Pete's Misty Morning - season of mist and mellow fruitfulness ahh!
3rd Fran's Holly - So many berries before the birds get to them. I wish my holly had berries on it.
