odd weather

    Today it rain, I measured 1.5 inches (measured in a nearly straight sided bucket so might be a fraction less) in about an hour at the end of the storm it hailed huge amounts , this was around four o clock, just been outside and it is very very cold, breath showing cold and the hail has not melted and is lying around in big heaps. A frost tonight would be a disaster :(

    The daft thing is the farmer down the road gave in today and started watering his potatoes :DOH:

    It has been very strange weather, a couple of big trees have come down near us, I think because it was very dry and then suddenly loads of rain and a bit of wind. I don't think we'll get a frost. Touch wood that hail should melt fairly quickly and has not done too much damage Mrs Chopper.
