    Going plant hunting this weekend, off to Hesketh Bank and surrounding areas.

      Not sure, but will getting more clematis as I'm going to a friend who as a clematis nursery.

        Enjoy!

        I prefer to go on a "nursery crawl" in spring or early summer.
        Find it motivating to get into the garden at the start of the deason.

        I find visiting or buying from a garden centre or nursery in Autumn or winter, is basically a lamentation of the dead summer. It's a bit like when you come back off holiday but you want to go somewhere again because you're still in the spirit :)

          When you've spent the summer in Afghanistan, any bit of colour is nice, and you never know what bargains you could find

          Still, at least it wasn't Afghanistan in the winter..........

            What I got,

            Clematis Alternata, Clematis Songarica, Clematis Tibetan Mix (tibetana x ladakhiana), Clematis Mongolian Gold and Clematis Otophora.
            A black bamboo ( Phyllostachys nigra)
            Cotinus royal purple
            A phoenix orchid reduced from £24.99 to £ 5.00 bargin
