Raining here, bored sitting around at home while OH does DIY so I decided to go for "look only" at the local garden centre.

Came home with 3 plants. Managed to convince myself at the garden centre that I had room for them. Came home and now wondering where to plant them. Oh dear - had to hide them as well, as OH asks why I need to buy more.

    Anyone else got this problem?

LOL your not on your own.
Because i am out and about with work i am always picking up bargains for the garden.
    Fruit shops
    Pound shop
    Wilkos
    You name it.
I only went to take some receipts to a customer to other day and ended up with 2 beautiful red lupin plants and a hosta.
There is never anywhere to plant them when i get home.
I have planted so many plants and bulbs this year and forgotten where they are or the labels have gone.
I have just got to wait , it will be a nice surprise when they start to grow and hopefully flower. :dh: :hehe:

I always manage to refrain from buying in a garden centre...........until I hit the bargain area!

So far this year, I have managed to spend a fortune on plants etc, but I got four tomato plugs, four fuchsia plugs and some lobelia plugs from Wilkos all Half Price!

I don't like paying loads for perennials, so I found a local plant centre that sell small pots of perennials, for 60p per pot!!!! All I have to do now is ensure that they flower, so that I can get some seed to make more! Simple, and Cheap!

I went mad, bought astrantia major, a couple euphorbias, hydrangea seemannii and three treasure-two Godaisyu peonies and one High Noon peony, then spent the rest of the day making up new beds for them. A small fortune, but worth it-I can't wait for these to be in flower-there'll be no hiding those with the usual"it's been there all the time, you must have missed it" lol

No, they go under the canopy of the oaks trees along with some very beautiful hydrangeas sent to me by a fab member here.

Although, it's still the plan lol.

I've decided that buying a plant or bulbs at the supermarket doesn't count if you're doing other shopping as well. Makes sense...doesn't it?
