I have discovered that a fairly mature Laurel Shrub in the hedge along the north side of my garden is partially affected by oily leaves. This does not cover the whole shrub. Can anyone advise as to how I should try to erradicate this problem, or does it mean pruning out the affected area.

    Your help, please

A photo would help but it seems like a insect problem. Spray with Provado - follow the instructions

Sticky leaves can be caused by scale insect.
