Just been given these in with a load of waste paper for recycling:

Murphy Pest & Disease Chart 1963 - loads of stuff now banned
Carters (Blue Book of Gardening) Catalogues 1955, 57 & 61
Carters Bulbs, Lawns & Plants Catalogue 1962
    Suttons Seeds 1963
    Grooms Bulbs 1962
    Van Gemeren's Roses (1960's?)
    Wisbech Bulb Co. 1962
David Critchley's (16 George St., Oxford) Seed & Plant Catalogue 1963
Allen & Simmonds Ltd. 'Horti-Cuto' (AKA Allen Sythe) leaflets - various
Robert H. Hall & Co 'Hall's' Cedarwood buildings, greenhouses, etc. catalogues x 2 (both 1960's?) + price lists
Bath's Catalogue & Gardening Guide - greenhouses, solid fuel heating systems, etc. (1960's)

So rather than weigh them in for 5p/kg, I thought I'd take a look through them.

You will get a good price for some of those on Ebay. I recently sold a Carters Seeds Catalogue from mid 1960's - £10.00 !! Certainly worth a try when you've finished reading them.

That sounds much better than 5p/Kg (my daughter is collecting for her 'World Challenge' trip). Did you mean Carters Seeds Catalogues like this?

I did wonder if people kept books, but chucked out catalogues. I'll have a good look through as there's some nuggets in them. What initially surprises me is how little classic greenhouse design has changed, how much (for those days) my Alladin blueflame heaters cost new, and how few of the chemicals from those days are still available.

To be honest I don't remember exactly, but have a look on Ebay there are a couple listed - also the Allen Scythe brochures should sell. - I like the advertisement page you posted, especially the ROLCUT Secateurs ad. (I am a fan of these and have a small collection dating from the very earliest model of 1929) - Rolcut have an interesting history - have a look at this Link, scroll about halfway down the page.
