pretty much anything can be added to your omelette, depends on what you like if it is raw you will need to cook off in seperate pan first and drain off any excess fliud, then make you om' as you did above,

great tip though if you have a lot of filling in it it can be slightly more difficult to Toss / flip if you lack confindence, if this is the case the pop your Grill on high when you start making the om' then when the bottom is cooked just pop it under the grill to finsh off turn out and enjoy

my hubbies fav is bacon, peas, onions and a little cheese on the top cooked as above, cheese goes on just before you pop it under the grill

    hope this inspires you :dbgrtmb:

I haven't made an omelette for ages, I've just been inspired again.

I whisk in half a teaspoon of English mustard, gives it that something extra! :)

I give the eggs a really good whisk - I don't add milk to it. Get the pan hot with oil and I add ripped up ham while it's 'wet' so the ham sinks in. Turn over - add the cheese! and fold up - salt a pepper!!! yum!!!

That was my breakfast yesterday anyway - a 2 egg omlette! Most delicious.

Tarragon is also nice mixed in the mixture and cooked - has a nice 'soft' flavour.

            :stirpot:

oooo and you should look up a recipe for Spanish omlette - having potato in - really nice, I'd prob get it wrong if I try to say how best to cook it! (like if to boil spuds first or not!!!) x

I didn't think you put milk in omelettes. That's for scrambled eggs.

                  Try a frittata.

Slice and boil some new potatoes, when soft drain and put into a medium heat frying pan.

Add Slice mushrooms, red and green peppers, some chilli if required.

Now pour your egg omellete mix over the top.

Cook till the egg is firm underneath ( i.e cooked), sprinkle some cheese over the top and place under a medium grill for a few mins.

                  Eat and enjoy.

P.s you can put milk into an omlettee mix, and salt and pepper, its personal choice.
