Just wanted to introduce myself. I have to confess that I am only sitting at my computer this afternoon because I am currently on gardenings wounded list! rather overdid it last week trying to dig up a path I no longer require. Now I have very sore and painful chest muscles which means I can do nothing of any use in the garden today or probably this week!

I am a keen gardener and am currently redesigning my garden to make it more dog friendly. I have two young springer spaniels (Kofi and Kimba) who are collectively known as KK wreckers! I have tried to make the dogs more garden friendly but decided it is probably doing to be easier to make the garden more dog friendly!!!

In my spare time I usually work on my own gardening website The UK Directory for Garden Shopping Online .. which is an ongoing project which now lists more than 600 UK garden suppliers.

Today I had planned to be in the garden moving plants what a lovely day for it too!!!

Hi Sally and welcome to GC. As you are probably aware, Nathan is trying to move the hosting but so far has mixed results. Still I am sure he (and thus we) will get there eventually but in the meantime normal service is a bit disjointed. But it is a sign of one of two things that everyone sticks to the site. Possibility one is that this is the best community on the web and although we argue like hell we are actually one big family. Possibility two is that we are all really sad and live in a virtual world and don't have real lives. I know which I believe so I haven't shot myself yet. :D

Love spaniels of all types and Ed my Staffie's best mates are cockers.

Go careful healthwise with the garden project. Hope you have taken photos so you can post befores and afters.

Hello Sally and welcome aboard our happy family ship.

Sorry to hear you are unwell and if I had stayed closer would have given you help.

There may be some people onhere may stay not far from you who can give their time to help.

Hi Sally welcome to the forum you will find that we are a lovely bunch of people and quite a few of us have health problems, bad backs etc. not the most ideal thing for working in a garden but like most things one's love for something spurs one on.

I know where you are coming from pets are like children really with either you can't have a showcase garden without banning them but then again a garden is to be enjoyed and used not for just looking nice....I wish you well with your dog friendly garden. [IMG] Hel.xxx.

Hi Sally! Take it easy and get better soon!

Is there such a thing as a dog friendly garden???? Have they invented the indestructable plant equivalent of Dolly the Sheep???!!!

Good luck with it and show us some photos of how you have managed to adjust your garden for our canine friends.

You might be right about the dog friendly garden! Yesterday I caught my 12 month old Springer bouncing up and down on my favourite clump of hellebores!
