    That plant is Corydalis solida.

The snow around it has melted and all of sudden it's in the process of blooming! Tough plant!

Does anyone else have any tough Spring flowerers that are battling it against the odds?

What a pretty little thing that is Stephen. New to me that one. My Anenome Blanda has just moved into shade and has closed its petals. I will try and catch it in the morning- if the sun shines :wub2:

Camellia St Ewe today for cropping (800x600).jpg Stephen, watching this Camellia unfurl its flowers over the last week or so has given me hope and made me smile,

It has always "struggled" even though I try to make sure it gets fed and watered in Summer. It has to live on that little patio which is south facing and I'm sure it doesn't really like that. I think I will resite it this summer where it can have more shade during the day but it will have to stay in that pot. I have seen bigger ones in smaller pots Stephen, its down to me to get it in the right place,

It would be very happy with light shade Jenny.. It would start to beef up somewhat.

Hellebore orientalis has no problems with the winter. I have more than 40 varieties now and all look fantastic.......mind you, we have not had the awful winter everybody else has had. Corydalis Flexuosa too has performed beautifully ...lovely blue flowers over low mounds.
