Not exactly an event as such.. but it is a personnel one for me.
Its was one year ago today that I retired early
It is now I must thank each and every one of you in helping the time flyby and also for all the friendship you have shown me bet I during this period.
Thanks for all the hints and tips and help you have willingly given to me to make my small veg plot a success.
I hope in some way I have helped and entertained you all in one way or another....
Now.. If you ask me .. did I do the right thing in retiring early.
The answe has to be .. yes.
Heres to next year and much success to Garderners corner.
    The drinks are me guys.
    cheers
    robert (Capney)

Mine's red wine that's gong down rather well. have not been here as long or as prolifically as you have but I always know I'm going to enjoy your posts - and I do far more reading than posting, as by searching I can usually find the answer to my questions and I don't have the knowledge to answer others.

Hope you continue to enjoy your retirement as I'm sure you will. A true 'giver' will always find their time filled and usually people try and reciprocate. :gnthb::gnthb:

So glad you are enjoying your second career so much Robert ! I beat you to it by a couple of years but I reckon it was the best career move I made. So many and diverse things to explore when not smothered by "work" and "career".

Robert, retirement is the best job I have ever had - and they can't even fire me. Congratulations.

If you are ever in Harrogate - do pop in. I am very close to the York road. I have always got too many plants and I have run out of friends to give them too. Just pm me.
