I planted some Turbo onion sets earlier this; mainly in the ground and these have done really well :D, but I put the remainder in a seed tray, not quite sure why :rolleyespink: lol, they are now about the size of golf balls and the leaves have all but withered now, question is do I use them as whole onions or can they be dried and started off next year as bigger sets? (is that possible??)

    Thanks in advance,

I'd suggest NO Bilbo, I think they will just run to seed next year.:WINK1:

I agree with pete, it's not worth trying. Just plant fresh sets next spring.

        I'll third that.

Just found half a tray of Kelsae onions under the tomatoes, they had rooted thru the holes in the tray. Perfect specimins, the size of pickles.
