    Hello all,
This year I have put my onion setts in small pots in the greenhouse to get them going early.
They have started very quickly, producing a good root system and good top growth. Do you think I have done them to soon or will they be O.K?
When is the earliest I could put them out?
    Regards,
    Stoko

i had some red onion sets given me today from a friend at work, so i asked her how many should i put in a container, so she said get some fully grown onions and put them in the container then you will see how much space you will have, i thought this was a very good tip.

I too planted japanese onions in November and they are doing well. I planted my shallots in containers last weekend, so no growth yet.
