onions and rocket!

I bought some last night from b and q, im still in the experimantel stage of my veg patch so even if bargain basement plants dont work i wont be too disheartened.

However, when i was there i bought some lettuce seeds as well, i was going to get the cut and come one but, they only had them in a pack entitiled 'rapid grow - have your lettuces in 3 weeks'. Now i overthink, a lot, its part of the M.E but what would they have done to the seeds to make them grow quicker than usual, it unnerved me slightly, i ddont really want seeds that have something contained in them that make them grow faster, id like my lettuces to grow at a normal rate, any thoughts? (other than maybe im bonkers?) x

You can stop worrying about the cut and come again seeds. They haven't done anything to them to make them grow fast. The difference is in the manner of growth. Cut and come come again varieties don't ball up into hearts, they just make leaves which you can cut almost as soon as they appear. Balling lettuce just take longer while you wait for them to heart up.
