Todays harvest was the onions. The greenery was dying and very soggy from the recent rain, so I reckoned it was time to harvest and start the drying process.
Strange thing is the ones I planted in the large pots did far better then the ones in my veg plot. Very strange.

Looks rather good Robert. I've just prised up mine a bit to start them drying. I've been unable to grow them for several years due to white rot, but decided to try some in a fish box and compost this year and the results surprised me as they are about as good as when I used to grow them in the ground. I planted 15 and haven't lost one.

Nice onions Robert, spell of hot sunshine is what you need to ripen them off.

I grew some from sets and some from seed this year.

The sets were rubbish, I think they may have been diseased.
My seed grown ones have done very well, a mild variety for eating raw.
