Onions - second chance?

    I planted some onion sets this time last year in a poor area of ground that got very dry (despite the wet summer). Most of the onions failed to do very much. I harvested the bigger ones and left the rest in the ground. They have now stated to sprout very healthily!

    Can I hope for a crop from these next year or will they just run to seed?

    Prastio, I think they are more likely to run to seed. But, what the hey, leave `em alone, and see what happens.:gnthb:

    I reckon that you are right. Still, I don't need that bit of ground at the moment so I'll give them a chance. Failures will be consigned to the stock pot!

    Feedback on last year's leftover onions. You were spot on: they have run to seed already.

    Prastio, I'm not sure what's happened to Dai - I haven't seen any posts from him for a while :scratch:
