onions

    all my onions have died. they seemed to be soggy near bottom, could the rain last night have killed them.

    Sounds more like onion white rot Bo, any white moldy looking bits on them?

    No! were they "sets" or grown from seed and are they really dead?

    Without pictures I can't really do a real evaluation, we had rain last night and my onions are thriving

    ive just been out and there are 2 more, these are them. i do have more still to plant out. any tips would be very greatful.

    Leave them alone, they'll pick up when the sun comes out.

    The ones in the photos were alive!

    Onions are becoming my speciality and I do pretty well with them, I'd be more than happy to assist you next season if you supply the seed, I start sowing in December with my Kelsaes, late January/ early February with other varieties.

    My Uncle lives in Nuneaton, not far from you, I've yet to achieve his results (3kg) but I'm working on it :)
