Onions

    I have my onions drying on the bench in the polytunnel and this morning I noticed they where covered in flies..is this normal...I've never experienced this before.

    I had flies on my onions this morning, but they were only sunning themseves.

    No flies on my onions...and I hope there never will be. I just pulled them this morning and they are drying in the conservatory...smell a treat...

    It might be worth checking to make sure there's no dampness present.

    How long should you dry them for? Mine are hanging in my carport...
