Dont you just love this time of year, going through the seed catalogs and browsing the internet for what is to planted this year and all the excitement of what it will turn out like success or failure, for me this is what gardening is all about at the start of the growing year.:gardening:

I also love it when like today the postie nocked my door and i thought it was a book i had ordered from Amazon, i looked a the parcel and thought my word thats big enough packaging for a book to be delivered in, when i opened it up to my surprise it was my daylilys :yess:i had ordered, it brought such a big grin to my face, the reason why i was surprised is when i place my order they said it would be the end of the month for delivery

You're right Resonate, only gardeners I think, can sit indoors and look at the gloom outside this time of year, champing at the bit to be off on another springs planting, whatever the successes and failures along the way.

      Happy sowing everyone! :gardening:

Yes us gardeners are a gullible lot :D Browsing the glossy seed catalogues drooling over the outstanding photos and believing all the superlatives in the descriptions :WINK1: They sucker us every winter when our resistance is low :D Just waiting for my Salvias from Chiltern seeds now and that will be it for 2012 :yess:

Yup. I fall for it every year. I try to take notes when I see nice plants when I'm garden visiting. Also Cotswold's garden flowers website has a useful "Bob's Score" feature - he usually tells it like it is!

T&M are the worst hypers IMO, and Chiltern's descriptions often draw a discreet veil over how weedy a plant actually is.
