    Did a boot sale today,

A few wasps were flying about, one quietly sneaked up my skirt, stung me twice on the leg, and once on the bum !!:cry3:

The wheals are driving me mad, have taken everything I can, even put Lignocaine on the wounds.:eeew:

I normally don't try to kill anything, but I nearly came close today. :psnp:

Oh woe woe and thrice woe!!

Ouch! That must have really hurt. Perhaps a painkiller would help as it will take any inflammation down. :grphg:

I've taken them as well. Ice pack too. Just as well I did not swallow it, like I did when I was
about 7 years old, ended up in casualty with that one. :oopss:

I've had one sting and that hurt enough!!! See what the chemist have, there used to be a small spray that really helped take the pain away!! Waspeze?

Oh Lili that sounds awful. As Val says maybe the chemist can offer up something to ease the pain. Then its the itching that follows, not nice.

    Thanks Moyra,

Yeah, I am using Lanacane for the itching, Certrizine and Ibrobufen, so I think have all things covered.

I can cope with now the swelling has gone down a bit, I am a bit naughty, I am a devil when it comes with itching.

We have a young lad at work, taken on for the summer to help us with the gardens.
He's keen and hard working, not a bad lad in all and today he finally passed the rite of passage that means he can now consider himself a proper gardener.
Yes, he found a wasp's nest while strimming. :runforhills:

I think he would have given Usain Bolt some stiff competition as he sped past me up the hill this afternoon. Didn't know he could move that fast. :lolpt:

We've all been there haven't we? If you garden for a living it's an occupational hazard really. Still, he got off fairly lightly really, he only got stung 3 times. My personal best is 7 stings at one time.

Anyway, once we'd sat him down and made sure there was no adverse reaction (there wasn't) and the sting cream had been duly applied, all was well and he saw the funny side of it. :blue thumb:

I've just looked on his facebook page, where he informs us that he hit a wasp's nest while strumming at work today. Sooo..... when he comes in next week, we'll have to ask him if he's brought his guitar with him. :snork:

Glad to report that all better now, just the odd tingle. :spinning:

I am going to take some fly killer with me this weekend when I do the boot sales.

Also a little medical pack in case I get stung again:huh:
