Good evening could anyone advise me on the differences and advantages of the above please.

 

Hi Woo, well, Pentaprisms are more expensive to make than Pentamirrors. Pentamirrors relects the light of the image into your eye whereas the Pentaprism bends it. Also the materials that used to make the mirrors also make a difference in the qualities of Pentamirrors. Some of differences can be a slight darkness, contrast, hue and tinting in the Pentamirrors. Also I have heard that Pentaprisms will last longer and that Pentamirrors can be subject to fade and also gain spots, specks and pitting over a length of time. I have never used a Pentamirror camera so I can't really compare in reality but only pass on opinions.
