Origin of your User ID on Gardeners Corner

Just being nosey basically. Wondering what the origin of user id's is.

Mine is simply my initials and house number. I was nicknamed 'KT or Katy' at school on the basis of the initials. It was never used at work until I started a new job in my late 50s and the lady I sat beside started using it. It caused all sorts of confusion if somebody asked her a question she thought I was more knowledgeable on and said "Ask Katy". They would be looking around for a woman. I am, and always have been a fella. That was about 15 years ago, before 'they', 'them', 'it' etc came into existence. Lord knows how they would cope now.

 

Mine is pretty self explanatory.

 

"Michael Hewett" was one of my ancestors who lived in Barnstaple in the 19th century. My real name is Welsh

 

Mine is what my husband asks me when I'm deep in thought!

I'm a girl - albeit a very old one, but not a fairy. It started as a joke when I joined the other forum many of us arrived here from. I can't remember exactly how it came about, but it stuck, so I kept it.

I live within the Sherwood Forest boundary.

On the old Gardeners world forum there was a glitch/change that stopped your general location from being shown so I changed my name from Sunflower to SherwoodArrow to make it more obvious where I was from. Two days later they changed it back. But I preferred my new name .
