We have over the last couple of years had three of those latex expanding hose pipes. They are brilliant but seem to keep falling apart in little time.

So can anyone please recommend a really really good quality one that will last ? I dont mind paying proper money as quality always costs..

    Thanks !

I think the best way to keep a hose for a longer life is in the shade in the summer and frost free over winter rather than leave outside, as to make I have had a hozlock for years

Our standard hose is a hozelock one on a reel which I drain and reel in off season. No problems at all with that one which is at the back of the house.

At the front of the garage I have plumbed in a hot and cold feed which I use for watering the hanging baskets out front and washing the cars.

I dont want another reel out front so have been using one of those expandable latex jobbies but they fall apart .
Exactly the same as this one in the link

So far two of these have come apart. They have leaked from day one at the points they are fixed to the hose its self. The latex pipe puls off the brass fittings and that is without anyone pulling hard on them.

What I would like is a robust replacement if possible ..

I don't think there is one Charlie. Other members have complained about these hoses in the past.
