Oscar the Bionic Cat

    Last night I was watching TV, about 4 a.m., and saw a lovely programme called the Bionic Vet. They had a cat brought in to them (Oscar :)) who had his rear feet chopped off by a combine harvester. Instead of putting him down, as other vets would do, they cleaned him up and had bionic feet made for him.

    Absolutely amazing! I watched the other clips about him and it was a pleasure to see how he had recovered and was getting around as though nothing had happened.

    A strong cat with great will-power and an extremely dedicated vet.

    I heard this chap a while ago on Radio 4 talking about his work. Lovely story. :) Oscar's bionic feet weren't cheap, as you can imagine, but I think he got research funding for the project.

    This chap had a series of 6 programmes I think it was on Channel 4, he is absolutely amazing, by the end of the series he was almost at breaking point from lack of sleep and continuous work!!! Great Guy!!!!!:yez:
