    A plant in my brother's garden I believe to be Osmanthus Heterophyllus 'Goshiki'. Can my friends here confirm this for me please? Sorry about the picture quality - not guilty! :)

    Looks like it to me Sheal. If the new growth is pinkish in colour then that would confirm it I think. If you were thinking about growing it in your new garden I would possibly think again. it is not really tough/hardy and I doubt would like your location unless you could find a really sheltered spot for it out of the wind.

      Thanks Silu. :thumbsup: I'll check with my brother on the new foliage colour. No, I'm not thinking about growing it, in fact I don't particularly like it. This is purely id for 'himself '. :) He lives in Essex.

        I agree with Silu:love30::love30::love30::love30::love30::snorky:, it's Osmanthus heterophyluss

        You might change your mind, Sheal, if you keep it long enough for it to flower as the masses of tiny white flowers have such a sweet far reaching scent it will stop you in your tracks and make you breathe in it. I have the Osmanthus Burwoodii and wouldn't be without it.:dunno::snorky:

          I don't think so Armandii, each to their own. :) I don't like it's colouring and it looks too much like Holly, which I now have.
