    Hi everybody does anybody know if you can cut back these plants? pretty sure i have the right plant name. Mine have dark pink flowers on them similar to daisys in appearence. love them for there continous flowering but thay have become invasive. i was going to put a instant graemlin here but cant get it to work! happy gardening.

    Hi Levoire. They obviously like you! Yes I am sure you can cut them back. But if they are in a bed I would suggest waiting till spring. The reason is that they are borderline hardy and the extra foliage on them, and on all perennials for that matter, acts like a fleece and gives them a bit more resiliance to get through the winter.

    I don't even trust mine to overwinter outdoors, here in Yorkshire.

    Hello Peter.s, thank you for your reply i shall leave well alone then untill spring. the sun is shining here down south its not like october at all, think i shall go over my allotment later and turn over some soil ready for the winter. thanks again for taking the time to reply. Levoire.
