image.jpeg Sorry NG it went a bit pear shaped as I was trying to put up two photos so was going to delete it and start again but when I went to edit it because I couldn't make a new thread or make the photo bigger than thumb nail and then there was no option to put things right:sad:

Here's my dad, born in 1904. My mother always said that he looked as if he had just been thrown out of a pub when that photo was taken.

                Alfred Bell (2).jpg

And one of my mother who was born in 1905. I think that both of the photos were taken in the early 1920s

Sounds fun..in the group photo, my dad is the fellow at the left front - posing with his brother and 7 sisters. The other are my parents on their wedding day,... hmm is that a baby bump - hmmm, she did take my father to see the bluebells....

                    Lovely pictures. :blue thumb:

I'm not sure I have any that are easily transferable but I'll have a look. I think there's a photo somewhere of my grandfather that was taken in the 1860's but my sister probably has that.

                      Great photos folks!

@Billybell that photo of your Mum is so well composed, look at the light sparkling in her eyes, and with your Dad's tie and suit he looks very smart not at all like he was just thrown out of the Pub :)

Looks like only a few of us have/had mums and dads going by the amount of photos on here. Was hoping to see lots more on the thread.I took a photo of my mum and dad from my tablet and then just added them on here as our scanner/printer has been out of action for so long Mr K reckons the ink will have dried up and me being blonde doesn't know how to use the scanner part:snork:

Pull the cartridge out, wipe the contacts with rubbing alcohol, run a few docs, you are ready to print, if there is ink left....

I'm struggling to find photos. My parents are in the back row - 2nd & 3rd from the right. My grandparents, on my mother's side are either side of the bride and groom (other grandparents were long gone by then).

The four young girls in the front are now great grandmothers!
