I am nearing completion of phase 2 of our garden makeover, the first being the tropical section. At the centre of this tropical/wildlife garden is my pond.

Appreciate the advice from @WeeTam , deciding to go without a filter. Initially due to lack of shade (while we wait for plants to grow bigger) the water started to green, however as the oxygenators and barleystraw bale took hold the water is once again crystal clear.

Have already got several pond skaters, have seen Damsel flies and a solitary Dragonfly visitor. The birds love bathing on the shallow beach and the cats enjoy a quick drink by the edge.
