Looks like a lush shady retreat from the heat of the blaring sun (well, when we get some! :heehee: ) and well constructed too. Blends perfectly with the Jack and Jill seating :dbgrtmb:
Have you chosen the plants which will grace your pergola? (Let me guess ... ... a clematis or three?)

@''M'' not chosen anything yet, moved a climbing rose 'wedding day' on the the right hand side, also have a trachelospermum jasminoides in a pot to place down there, not sure what else might try a Clematis x triternata 'Rubromarginata'.

Not built it to be romantic, I built it to have a nice cold beer :ccheers: at the end of the day

Place for a cold beer? :) Perfect!
How about a summer jasmine to add scent? A pot or two of Lilium Regale? A pot of Zaluzianskya for evening scent? A pot or two of heliotrope Chatsworth for scent during the day?
Cant have too much scent. Currently a large ....15' tall.....choisya is wafting wonderful scent in a corner sitting area here. An archway with 2 honeysuckles has just started to flower and scent the approach.

Very nice Ian. A bit of inspiration. Needs a fridge for the beer.
                    All the best, Russ

Some how I don't think Mrs T would like that idea of putting electric down there to keep my beer cool.
@HarryS cheeky, they don't sell Castlemaine XXXX any more
