It is a sad reflection on modern society that it has come to this.
It seems that any of the normal pleasures in life (like taking photos) are being eroded by the spoilers.:(:(
    Well done Woo & co:thumb:

Yes, well done, Woo. The issue about photography in a public place has been raging for some time now. I feel that this is just another way of showing us how bad society is becoming today, with such petty mindedness. Believe it or not, some tourists in London have had their digital images removed by the over zealous members of the police. One such tourist, who hails from Austria, said that heâ??d never come to Britain again, and I donâ??t blame him. Tourism is about all we have left to make money from in this country today, so why bite the very hand that feeds us in this crazy manner?:dh:

I'm almost certain I posted this info at the time in the photo section of this site, but its worth posing it again here if I did or did not.

The Met Police in London have finally given out some guidlines regarding Photography, in a sensible way clarifying what we (as Photographers) already have known for many years. They can be seen and copied/reffered too here http://www.met.police.uk/about/photography.htm

Either print them off and carry them with you or have the link above with you when out and about with the camera as it should hold a lot of weight in any dispute over rights. In short, if its good enough for the met police, its good enough for the rest of the country.

Very well done to the club involved for doing something and making a stand, I doff my cap to them all. Do the club have a web presence anywhere and what is its name?

Thanks Woo for posting this and I am fuully behind you and your club...well done to you all !

    Steve...:)
