i like them but i think that they are a bit posh for my garden, i live in a stepped terraced house and only have a small 30' X 15' garden which has a 10' x6' green house and a 8'x 6' wooden wendy house and 4 raised beds there is not much space to walk lol

i have a 5' breeze block wall one side a 4' wooden fence the other side, with garage wall at the bottom and then the pine end extention at the top ( extension all ready has security light on )

so dont have much height that i could work with :help:

Maybe something like this. You can buy them on EBay for about £20-30.
About 500W. You do need power, but you can free stand it or hang it from something handy.

Don't use it in the rain though.

solar lights used to be rubbish ....

now, they are more advanced and work pretty well .... buy the ones from John Lewis that have the larger solar panels .... they work even when it is overcast all day, and they use nicad batteries that get charged during the day ....

the nicad batteries will eventually pack up, but then just replace the batteries for cheap ....

many people just throw the whole unit away instead of replacing the batteries

Buy Solar Centre Selene Solar Powered Spotlights, Set of 2 online at JohnLewis.com - John Lewis

you also get them with motion sensors ....

You could try those Bulkhead lights Kaz....they can soon be fixed on the wall and the fences....we had them at the last house ,they were cheap enough to have right down the garden...looked nice and gave off good light:dbgrtmb: i'm sorry haven't got a pic but looked them up and you can get loads of different types now:thumbsup:

I see what Mr CK means but there are alot to choose from these days....

I used to have mine 'peeping' through the ivy that was growing on the fence:)
I've seen some of those nice 'fishermans' lanterns that i fancy but i'd like a few so then it all starts getting very expensive:nono:

      I'll keep thinking and looking:dbgrtmb:
