over watering?

    Hi guys and girls just a quicki.Is it possible to over water banana plants?.If so can anyone tell me what happens to the plant. ie does it go brown or anything like that.Manny thanx ..daz

    Tips of the leaf is a good sign of over watering
    Brown and crusty.

    Oh thank you jimbo.The reason i ask is cos thay have done just that gone brown and crusty. thanx mate...daz

    Hi Daz. Believe it or not the symptoms for overwatering are virtually the same as those for underwatering, whether it`s a Banana Palm or any other plant. The best thing to do is to keep them moist, not wet. David.

    Bananas like a lot of water in the summer, brown on the leaves usually means irregular watering. [​IMG]
